A few weeks ago I spent a great afternoon with Andrea, a small farmer here in Culpeper County. Her neolithic sheep are hand-plucked instead of shorn. We grilled bratwurst, plucked spring sheep, and discussed some of the unique problems faced by small farmers and the rural poor, such as burying power lines, rural broadband, transportation costs, and how to relieve excessive burdens on small farmers with programs like mobile abattoirs.
This weekend, Andrea reached out to Twitter for support for my campaign, and in just three days helped me raise over $500 in 23 small donations, at an average of about $20 apiece.
Thanks for your support, Andrea! I’m fighting so everyone has equal access to the tools necessary to freely participate in society and the economy. Donate HERE to fight for the party of freedom!
